I visited 1848 Coffee Shop for the first time and wasn’t sure what to order, but the staff was incredibly helpful. They asked about my preferences and recommended the iced Santa Fe beverage — and wow, it did not disappoint! It was sweet, delicious, and had just the right amount of caffeine to help me power through the work tasks ahead. The atmosphere was perfect — quiet enough to read and focus while I waited, and when my friend arrived, we stayed for a while because the seating was so comfortable. It ended up being more of a productive meeting space than just a casual coffee stop, which was exactly what we needed. Great drinks, friendly service, and an ideal environment for both work and conversation. I’ll definitely be back!

Honestly, the smoothest coffee I’ve ever had. I drink my coffee black so I can tell pretty easily how good the roast is. Servers are always kind in the environment is really interesting. Highly recommend giving them a try.

Cozy, classic, clean, rustic atmosphere. Friendly staff. Super good coffee. Great spot for a quick cup of coffee or buy some of their own roasted (they roast their own coffee in the back of the store) bean coffee.

Awesome local coffee. The owner is a cool dude putting out a fantastic product. This coffee beats anything else in New Berlin. I had the mocha. Terrific! He gets his beans from a Wisconsin roaster in Hayward, WI. He is currently operating out of a food trailer. But don’t let that stop you. It’s worth the stop.

Been wanting to try this place for a while, and finally did this morning. Great coffee shop! Love the atmosphere, baristas are friendly and attentive, and they have a wide variety of coffee and tea drinks. My honey oat milk latte was delicious. Will definitely be back! ☕️

What a gem of a place! So cute inside, though looks very uninteresting from the outside. I think I passed by the place many many times without realizing it was a coffee shop. They roast their own coffee, and have lots of interesting flovors. Interestingly, my whole group ended up just enjoying their dark roast - the national avenue - over all the other flavored kind, but it was quite good. Their latte was also spot on, and hit the spot. Barista/cashier was very friendly and helped us through our coffee selection process very patiently. Totally coming back! If you’re not sure why it’s called 1848, ask the server! You’ll learn an interesting fact about Wisconsin.

Such a cozy spot. The workers are very friendly and on point. Their drinks are very good and tasty. They offer all types of syrups and flavoring. Bathrooms was clean. The outside patio is a good touch too!

First time here. Met a friend and had a cups of hot tea. Didn't get any of the baked goods, but they had a nice selection of donuts from the National Bakery. Friendly and efficient staff. There wasn't a huge amount of seats, but enough tables and space to be comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate to stop in again.

As a small business owner I like to look at the small details of other small businesses to recognize the thought behind the experience. I was pleasantly surprised to see a bulletin board as you entered allowing other small businesses to put a card or advertisement- shows that they really care about supporting the community! The delightful aroma of COFFEE as you entered and you might think well obviously…but I have entered other places and sometimes you don’t get pleasant smells. The Dave Matthew’s Band was playing which for me is always a plus, and the look of the cafe was clean, comfortable and simple. The menu was plentiful and I loved the education of the coffee they brew. The whole reason I wanted to try it out was because I read reviews saying the Caramel Macchiato was the best they ever had. I ordered a 20 oz and let me tell you I am glad I came! Delicious and perfect temperature. I’ll be back, highly recommend!
